Diller Center Socials
The Charles H. Diller Jr. Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation helps mentor, support, and encourage students, staff, or faculty at Shippensburg University who wish to start their own businesses. The organization complements the university’s entrepreneurship major and minor, funds student competitions, speakers, mentors, student organizations, seminars, conferences, and other opportunities. The Center partners with the Morgan Makerspace, which is a creative space that gives everyone on campus access to 3D printers, a sewing machine, an embroidery machine, a hot press, a drill press, 3D scanning, power tools, etc; As the graduate assistant from August 2025 to May 2026, I helped create, manage, and schedule social media content.
Instagram
One of my goals as the Diller Center’s social media content creator was to support awareness and community-building efforts. My goal was to increase overall social media engagement by 10% while also increasing social media following by 35%.
On Instagram, I improved the account immensely with 811 interactions, 29,153 views, and 6,985 accounts (328.1% increase) from January 27 to April 26. In January, the account had 1.5K views, 48% of views from non-followers, and 163 followers. The next month, February, the account had 8.8K views (453% increase), 72% of views from non-followers (729% increase), and 194 followers (31 follower increase). The account’s following from January to April continued to increase, going from 160 followers to 204 followers.
LinkedIn engagement increased significantly with my work, rising from 9.3 in January 2026 to 19.2 in April 2026. From January 20 to April 20, impressions increased by 177.8%, reactions increased by 312.7% increase, and reposts increased by 350%. The account’s following increased by 900% during that time frame, going from 132 followers to 149 followers.
Similar to Instagram, Facebook engagement increased by 680.9% increase – 166 reactions, 8 comments, and 37 shares. Other statistics to note from January 20 to April 20 are 8,020 views (108% increase), 1,590 3-second views (89% increase), and 86 1-minute views (100% increase). The account’s following increased from 285 followers to 297 followers.
YouTube
Although I didn’t dedicate a lot of time to the YouTube account due to time restrictions, it is important to note that the account’s subscribers went from 66 to 70.
I created a video series that was posted on all platforms to help engage the audience and show ways that different students from different majors could utilize the Makerspace. The video series on YouTube received 1,049 views, 7 likes, and 2 comments. After the account was inactive for an entire year, these small improvements still make a big difference.
Verstandig Media Socials
As a summer intern at Verstandig Media, I helped create social media content for the organization's TikTok. Below is one of the videos I helped create. My main focus was on analytics for clients and print media, but I enjoyed getting to help communicate media tips online.
